My Story:

I was born with some internal complications and spent the first 14 years in and out of hospitals missing out on the chance to go to preschool, play any sports, or hang out with many kids my age. I also happened to be born to very musical parents who would drag my sister and me to their shows each weekend where I got my fill of top 40 hits from the late 70's and 80’s. Hearing so many pop melodies, harmonies and rhythms for that long without the chance to perform, I eventually just started writing my own songs.  I worked out the awkwardness of performing at hundreds of open mic events around where I live and started getting pretty good. I soon started collaborating with other artists. During this time, I was able to obtain a route of schools from another music teacher and began going around to these schools introducing the children to all the instruments of the orchestra. This experience motivated me to write songs to help them learn, which turned into a hit CD. (Good Day).  I then realized I needed to sell the CDs so I got a band and we've been performing for about four years now. (the Whole 9 Yards)  The act is so popular in my area, that I felt it's time to take it to the next level and we're working on DVD as well as two other CDs for children and one for the adults!

I'm very blessed to have made it this long in the music business without a 'real' job in 12 years and I think my philosophy of interacting with children as people without talking (or singing) down to them has really been the reason I am so successful. It's all about the kids!
